COALITION SUBMITS COMMENTS TO FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
On August 9th, the 5Gfor12GHz Coalition submitted comments to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) calling to expand flexible use in the 12.2-12.7 GHz band. In its comments the Coalition made it clear on the need to bridging the digital divide and ensuring access for all Americans.
The submission encourages the FCC to consider a set aside for underserved tribal communities and to establish reasonable regulations for fixed wireless providers in the band. The 12.2-12.7 GHz band, if properly maximized, has amazing potential for consumers and providers across the United States.
The Coalition is looking forward to engaging in meaningful dialogue with the FCC and working towards maximizing limited spectrum resources. Better allocation of spectrum will promote increased industry competition, spur U.S. 5G leadership, and help close the digital divide.
