Coalition Statement on FCC Decision in 12 GHz Proceeding
Washington, D.C., May 18th, 2023 – The 5G for 12GHz Coalition, made up of more than 30 public interest groups, trade associations, and companies in the telecommunications sector, today issued the following statement following the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) adoption of a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the 12 GHz proceeding:
The Coalition remains committed to working with the FCC and its engineering team to ensure that the 12.2-12.7 and 12.7-13.25 GHz bands are maximized to benefit consumers across the country. Taking steps to expand the 12 GHz band will bridge the digital divide, increase competition, deliver next generation services to consumers, spur U.S. leadership in wireless, foster Tribal connectivity, and promote digital equity.
